OUR 6th ANNUAL PINK PARTY FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS TURNS THE TOWN PINK

October 29, 2026

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) Lawrenceburg proudly hosted its 6th Annual Pink Party on Tuesday, October 20, at First Baptist Church Lawrenceburg, bringing together 360 community members for an evening of education, inspiration, and celebration.

The event celebrated breast cancer survivors, honored those affected by the disease, and reinforced the importance of early detection and routine screenings. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the United States, with 1 and 8 women being diagnosed in their lifetime.

One of the evening's highlights was the Pink Power Panel, featuring local breast cancer survivors Emily Blasingim, Katie Busby, JoAnn Hannah, and Katie Holman, who courageously shared their personal experiences with diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and survivorship. Their heartfelt stories offered encouragement, hope, and practical insights for attendees.

"We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for this year's Pink Party," said Rhee Perry, CEO of STRHS Lawrenceburg. "The stories shared by our Pink Power Panel reminded us of the strength, resilience, and determination found within our community. Events like this not only honor survivors but also encourage individuals to prioritize their health and take advantage of life-saving screenings."

The event was made possible through the generous support of 45 local businesses and organizations whose sponsorships helped provide a memorable evening for attendees at no cost.

"Our community continues to show up in an amazing way to support breast cancer awareness," said Perry. "The support from our sponsors, survivors, healthcare professionals, and attendees helped make this year's event one of our most successful yet."

The Pink Party has become a cherished annual tradition in Lawrence County and reflects STRHS Lawrenceburg's ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves through education, prevention, and compassionate care.
