STRHS-LAWRENCEBURG EARNS AN ‘A’ HOSPITAL SAFETY GRADE FROM THE LEAPFROG GROUP

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) – Lawrenceburg has once again been recognized as a national leader in patient safety, earning its fifth consecutive “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group. This prestigious distinction, awarded by an independent national nonprofit watchdog, highlights the hospital's sustained excellence in protecting patients from preventable harm and errors.

The Leapfrog Group assigns grades of “A”, “B”, “C”, “D”, or “F” to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 evidence-based measures of patient safety. These measures focus exclusively on a hospital’s ability to prevent medical errors, accidents, injuries, and infections.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only ratings program in the United States focused solely on the prevention of medical errors and infections that account for significant patient risk nationwide. The program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent, and updated twice annually in the fall and spring.
