Healthy LawCo Wellness Expo Coming May 1st

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) Lawrenceburg is elevating its annual health tradition with the launch of a new brand: the 3rd Annual “Healthy Law-Co Wellness Expo.” While the event has been known in previous years as the Community Health Fair, this rebranding reflects a move toward a larger, more comprehensive health experience designed to serve residents of all ages.
The expo will be held on Friday, May 1st, at a central, convenient location: First Choice Health / Southern Tennessee Pediatrics at 2121 North Locust Avenue. To ensure the entire community can attend, the event will feature two sessions: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
"We are thrilled to transition our traditional health fair into the Healthy Law-Co Wellness Expo," said Rhee Perry, CEO of STRHS Lawrenceburg. "This new brand is specifically aimed at providing a larger, more interactive health experience. Our goal is to move beyond standard check-ups and offer a day where families can enjoy food trucks and fun activities while gaining the vital health information they need to thrive."
Comprehensive Care for Every Generation
The Healthy Law-Co Wellness Expo remains committed to providing high-quality medical screenings at accessible rates. Adults can access essential blood work (fasting required), including:
· Comprehensive Metabolic Profile (CMP), Lipid Panel, and CBC: $30
· Hemoglobin A1C: $15
· Vitamin D: $20
· PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen): $10
· TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone): $10
Free screenings will also be available, covering blood pressure, stroke assessment, grip strength, eye pressure, and dental health.
Expanded Youth and Athletic Focus
In line with the "all ages" mission, the expo features a significant expansion for local students. Free sports physicals will be provided for student-athletes, including rising sixth graders and above, to meet TSSAA requirements for middle and high school sports.
Young athletes can also experience:
· The Combine Performance Zone: To test their physical abilities.
· The Fueling Station: To learn about the science of hydration.
· The Recovery Lounge: To understand the importance of post-activity health.
