STRHS-Lawrenceburg Welcomes Community to 2nd Annual HeART Show
February 25, 2026
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) Lawrenceburg, in proud collaboration with the Lawrence County School System (LCSS), hosted its 2nd Annual HeART Show last night, transforming the hospital hallways into a gallery of student creativity. The event, which drew more than 600 attendees, celebrated the combination of art and cardiovascular health in honor of National Heart Month.
The HeART Show featured original artwork from elementary, middle, and high school students across the county. Each piece was centered around themes of “Hearts in Motion.” As student artists arrived, they were treated to a “Red Carpet” experience, complete with photo opportunities to celebrate their featured artwork.
"Our students are very creative, and we loved watching their faces light up as they walked the red carpet and located their artwork on our walls," said Rhee Perry, CEO at STRHS Lawrenceburg. "Beyond the art, this event is about connection. Our patients love seeing this student work in our halls, and it allows us to serve our schools and community in a unique way."
The event was more than an art gallery; it served as an interactive health fair designed to instill lifelong healthy habits. Medical teams from Southern Tennessee Heart, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine hosted educational stations throughout the facility. Attendees participated in hands-on activities, including:
- Heart Rate Checks: Learning how to measure and monitor cardiovascular exertion.
- The "Sugar & Caffeine" Effect: Visual demonstrations on how common beverages impact heart rhythm and long-term health.
- Healthy Habits: Practical tips from physicians on nutrition and exercise to keep young hearts—and adult hearts—strong.
The partnership between STRHS Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County Schools highlights a shared commitment to the well-being of the region’s youth. By bringing families into the hospital for a celebratory occasion, STRHS aims to build a positive, educational relationship between the community and their local healthcare providers. The artwork will remain on display throughout the month of February for patients, staff, and visitors to enjoy.
