STRHS-Lawrenceburg Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of the Women's Health Clinic
July 22, 2025
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System (STRHS) – Lawrenceburg proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of its new Women’s Health Clinic, now located at 1611 South Locust Avenue, Suite 200. The new space offers patients and providers more personalized care in a setting that is conveniently closer to the hospital’s Women’s Health Center.
The ribbon cutting ceremony also marked the official welcome of Dr. Jeffrey Greenberg, the newest OBGYN to join the hospital’s growing Women’s Services team.
“We are thrilled to open this new clinic and continue expanding access to high-quality women’s healthcare in Lawrence County,” said STRHS CEO Rhee Perry. “This space supports our goal of delivering seamless, coordinated care close to home.”
In 2024, STRHS delivered 355 babies — a 45% increase over the previous year — and is on track to surpass that number in 2025. The hospital’s primary C-section rate remains under 15%, less than half the Tennessee state average, reflecting a strong commitment to safe, patient-centered care.
STRHS welcomed Dr. Howard Greenberg on May 1st after serving as a locum physician. With more than 25 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Greenberg is known for his calming bedside manner and compassionate approach to care. Dr. Greenberg joins a talented team of Certified Nurse Midwives, Chelsie Caperton and Ashley Taylor, whose personalized, empowering care has made a lasting impact on mothers and babies in the community. Rounding out the team is Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Meg Newton, WHNP, who provides comprehensive care for women through every stage of life — from adolescence to post-menopause.
“At STRHS-Lawrenceburg, we are proud to be a trusted partner in women’s healthcare,” explains Rhee Perry, CEO of STRHS-Lawrenceburg. “Whether you’re here for a routine visit or preparing to welcome a new baby, our mission is to deliver excellent, compassionate care right here at home.”
