Community-Wide Health Fair Hosted by STRHS-Lawrenceburg

April 09, 2024

Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg will be hosting the Community Health Fair and Screening on Saturday, April 13th from 6:00am – 9:00am.

“The Community Health Fair was always a popular event in Lawrenceburg, but the restrictions with the Co-Vid pandemic prohibited us for planning an event after 2019,” said Mike Howard, Chief Executive Officer of STRHS-Lawrenceburg. “With the priority to make our communities healthier, we knew this was an opportunity to bring back an event that served so many.”

Free testings will be offered for blood pressure, stroke assessments, and posture and grip strength. Remke Eye Clinic will also be conducting free pressure screenings. Attendees also have the option to pay for a Blood Chemistry Profile and Lipid Panel for $25, along with A1C ($10) and PSA screenings offered by WLX Radio.  Women will also be able to sign-up for on-site mammograms during the event.

Additional information will be available to attendees regarding breast cancer, prescriptions, nutrition, rehabilitation services, women’s health, physical & occupational therapy, cardiac awareness, sleep lab, wound care, and radiology.  Providers from our STRHS Clinics will also be on-site to meet attendees.

“Our local hospital is committed to making healthcare accessible for our community members,” says Howard.  “Educating yourself about your health and the services that are available in our area work hand-in-hand with our mission and values.  We want to ensure that we are also available as a resource in the community’s healthcare needs.”

Giveaways and free refreshments will be provided. STRHS-Lawrenceburg is located at 1607 South Locust Avenue in Lawrenceburg.
