Not only will he be an asset to our healthcare community, he and his family will make a great addition to Lawrence County.”

Dr. Vassilyadi obtained his medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies and completed his internal medicine internship and residency from Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Internal medicine physicians are equipped to handle the broad and comprehensive spectrum of illnesses that affect adults, and are recognized as experts in diagnosis and in the treatment of chronic illness, and in health promotion and disease prevention—they are not limited to one type of medical problem or organ system. Internal medicine specialists are equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient brings—no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. They are specially trained to solve puzzling diagnostic problems and can handle severe chronic illnesses and situations where several different illnesses may strike at the same time.

Dr. Vassilyadi’s services include but are not limited to basic and advanced medical diagnosing, management of multiple medical problems, nutrition forward health, men and women’s health, joint injections, cosmetic removals, medical home for all medical needs, and more.

Dr.  Vassilyadi grew up in a Greek family and continues those traditions and the culture with his wife, Elaine and daughters Eirini and Georgia. They speak Greek, English, and French.  The family enjoys traveling and have moved six times in the past five years.  They agree they are happy to be settling down in Southern Tennessee.

Southern Tennessee Internal Medicine is located at 184 Prosser Road in Lawrenceburg.  Dr. Vassilyadi joins Dr. Alvin Maliakal and nurse practitioner, Haley Phillips in the practice and they are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.  All are accepting new patients.  For additional information regarding the clinic or to make an appointment call, 931.762.5115
